Anya Harvey

Hi my name is Anya Harvey. I am twenty-five years old. I was born on September 27, 1980. I have lived in Los Angeles, Redlands and San Bernardino. In a couple of years I plan on moving to Shreveport, Louisiana after I have earned my masters degree to be with family. I graduated from San Bernardino High School in June of 1998. I then went on to study Liberal Arts at California State University, San Bernardino. I graduated in the spring of 2003 with my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in mathematics. In the fall of 2003, I started the credential program. I graduated in spring 2004 with my preliminary credential. I am currently working on a second credential in mathematics, a masters degree in instructional technology and my professional clear. I am doing my masters in instructional technology because I truly believe that school districts in the future are going to want teachers who are very knowledgeable about using technology in the classroom.
My goal in life was always to become a teacher. I was offered a position with the San Bernardino City Unified School district in June of 2004. During my first year of teaching, I taught 7th grade mathematics and life science at Serrano Middle School. I currently teach 7th grade mathematics at Shandin Hills Middle School. On the weekends I tutor students in math at the San Bernardino Boys and Girls Club.
